The cycling industry has seen an unprecedented boom as a result of the Coronavirus lockdown. In April and May, the fair weather coupled with restrictions on exercise meant that many of us turned to our bikes for our ‘once a day’ foray into the outdoors. But since the easing of lockdown restrictions, and the gradual return to work for UK employees, many workers are seriously considering their future transport habits and are finding a ‘new normal’ for the daily commute.
Firstly we would like to express our sincere thanks to all of our great employees, customers, suppliers, and clients for the support shown during what has been an immensely challenging and stressful time for everyone not just here in the UK, but across the World. We really have found ourselves in uncharted and scary waters, and without the understanding, patience, and dedication of everyone in and around our businesses, these challenges will, I am certain, have been overwhelming.
In response to the long-standing issue of congestion and car parking, the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust is encouraging staff at the Royal Victoria Hospital to leave their cars at home and find alternative transport.
