As a government backed initiative, the bike to work scheme is a cost-effective way for employees to obtain brand new cycling gear through their organisation. There is nothing to pay upfront, with subsequent payments taken via monthly instalments, directly from an employee’s salary. This means employees don’t have to pay tax or National Insurance on their goods, and employers save up to 13.8% on their National Insurance contributions.
Once an employer has registered with Cycle Solutions, employees will have access to a unique online store. This is specifically catered to the company they work for, displaying their organisation’s scheme parameters, how much each employee is saving and their monthly instalments. From road bikes to safety accessories, this allows employees to explore the full offering, also having full access to a savings calculator to see their exact savings on their perfect package of brand-new equipment.
After submitting an order, Cycle Solutions will send through a hire agreement to both the employee and the employer. Once these are signed and approved, the goods will be sent out as soon as possible.
